Below is a submission guideline and call for entries for a VJ Battle
happening in San Diego.
If you plan on attending Siggraph please come to the party or submit for
the VJ Battle.

Open call for artist to compete.
The VJ battle will be the first of its kind held during Siggraph.
DJ Jason Bentley will headline the event.
Artist will mix their visual media live to the music of an undisclosed
DJ. Four artists at a time on three individual screens compete for 20
minutes sets. Winners advance to the next round, over all winners will
win Ati graphics card and other prizes.

This is an open call for visual artist to participate in a 3x3 battle
against other artists.
20 minute slots head to head.
Video only a DJ will be provided.
Winner of each round will advance to the final for another 20-minute
Winners will receive an ATI graphics cards.
To submit for the VJ battle artist must provide a 3 to 7 minute demo of
their work to:

Deadline July 25th
Formats: Mini DV, VHS, CD Rom, VCD, SVCD, DVD, Beta or provide a URL or
FTP with a demo reel on it. (This is the preferred method).
Demos will not be returned without return postage provided.
Hotels, flights and any other accommodations will NOT be provided.
No Teams or collectives. Individuals only.
Maximum number of input sources is 4.
Commercially released VJ mixes are not allowed.
The DJ will be announced just before the event.
Artist will be judged on aesthetics, composition, technique, originality
of work and visual interpretation of the music.
100% original content is not required but the artist will be judged on
creative use of the content and originality is a key factor.
Projectors, preview monitors and screens will be provided.
Artists should be prepared to provide their own sources
4 judges, 3 from the industry and the 4th is the audience.
Winners will be announced immediately after the battles.
Winners names and bio’s will be posted to the Dimension 7 and Lumens
Tour website and featured in IdN Magazine and Electronica Optica.
